If your mezuzah is exposed to harsh, direct sunlight day after day for many years, you may eventually notice some yellowing. The same goes for extreme weather conditions and large temperature fluctuations.\u003cbr\u003eIn normal indoor use, this shouldn't be an issue at all.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eIs my mezuzah suitable for outdoor use?\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAh, the million dollar question!\u003cbr\u003eOur mezuzah cases are made from durable, waterproof materials, and we've included an acrylic backing and strong double-sided tape for easy installation. However, the real consideration isn't the case, it's the scroll (klaf) inside.\u003cbr\u003eExcessive moisture, prolonged direct sunlight, extreme heat, or cold can damage the klaf over time, potentially affecting its kosher status. While the mezuzah case itself can handle a fair amount, the scroll inside is far more sensitive.\u003cbr\u003eIf your doorway is sheltered from rain, protected from harsh weather, and out of direct sunlight, your mezuzah should be perfectly happy there.
